5 police officers killed when car crashes into vehicle in Lasbela; Naqvi expresses sadness – Pakistan

HUB: Five police officers were killed and two injured in a collision between a car and a vehicle belonging to the SSP Lasbela team on the main road in Othal.

According to Othal Police Station in-charge SHO Qazi Saber, SSP Lasbela’s squad was traveling from Hub to Othal when a vehicle coming from the opposite direction collided with it and fled the scene. SHO Qazi Saber said police launched a search for the getaway vehicle while the injured policemen were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

The deceased police personnel have been identified as Nader, Mohammad Rafiq Ronjah, Saleh Mohammad, Irfan Ronjah and Rashid Barfat.

The SHO said the injured policemen have been identified as Molabakhsh Khaskheli and Muhammad Ali Ronjah.

Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi on Monday expressed regret over the martyrdom of five police officers in a road accident near Lasbela. He extended his heartfelt condolences and condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured police officers.
