Dothan United suffers first home defeat of the season | WDHN

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan United hosted East Atlanta FC on Wednesday night in the second game of their season series.

The Dragons won match one 3-2, but the Dutch Lions forced a series split, handing the Dragons their first ever home loss 2-0.

It was a story of defensive mistakes that led to the loss. The Dragons dominated possession as usual, but two errors resulted in two goals, and excellent play from the Dutch Lions goalkeeper kept Dothan off the board.

The Dragons headed to North Carolina on Saturday to take on Asheville City FC.

Asheville remains undefeated with six wins, zero losses and one draw. That only draw came against the Dragons at Rip Hewes earlier this month.
