Kalki 2898 AD – Can Nagi repeat history?

Kalki 2898 AD – Can Nagi repeat history?

Kalki, with her enormous reach and generosity, is the rising star of Indian cinema. The 27th of this month is the film’s release date, and intriguing information about its duration has just surfaced. The film reportedly has a running time of 176 minutes, which is slightly longer than average. The long running time may be justified, however, as this is a large-scale sci-fi thriller.

It should be noted that Nagi’s last film, Mahanati, also had a running time of 2 hours and 57 minutes. Anyway, Mahanati solved the problem, and running time wasn’t an issue at the time. Interestingly, kalki is a unique attempt to tackle futuristic subjects never seen before on Indian screens.

A specific amount of running time should be devoted to the established segment so that the viewers can get used to the scene and help establish this premise and lead them on an emotional journey. To make up for the extended running time of almost three hours, it is necessary to keep the audience largely on the edge of their seats. Nagi will have to ensure that the audience is involved from start to finish, which poses a problem.

We will have to wait and see if Nagi can pull off the Mahanati feat of prioritizing his story over the long runtime as Kalki has roughly the same runtime as Mahanati.
