Major traffic congestion towards Queenstown | Crux – Local News

There have been major traffic delays heading into Queenstown for three hours this evening.

The crowds follow a multi-vehicle collision on Frankton Road, which was reported to police at around 4.40pm this afternoon.

One of the vehicles appears to be blocking the westbound lane while waiting for the tow service.

Police traffic control is trying to solve the problem.

No injuries have been reported to police at this time.

Police are advising commuters to avoid the area, find alternative routes and allow extra time to reach their destination safely this evening.

The road around Queensotwn Airport and Glenda Drive were both severely affected for more than two hours, with traffic in both directions at a standstill.
