Uttarakhand weather update: Rain warning across the state for today

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a chance of rain in all districts of the state today, June 20. There is a possibility of heavy rain in 7 districts and light rain in the remaining 6 districts. The weather will remain like this in the state for the next five days, for which precautionary measures have been advised.

The weather shifted from the mountains to the plains on Wednesday afternoon across the state, which was reeling under scorching heat. Rain fell with strong winds, heavy rainfall across the state on the last day reduced the devastating heat. The rainy season has now started due to strong western disturbances. A temperature drop of four degrees has been recorded. As the weather remains the same in the coming days, people will get relief from the heat wave.

Weather forecast for today

The Dehradun Meteorological Center forecast states that there is a chance of rain at many places across the state today. Today, seven districts of the state, Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Almora and Champawat may receive light to moderate rain, while five districts Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar will receive heavy rain, and Er a warning has been issued for thunder and lightning.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Dehradun was recorded at 40.7 degrees and the minimum temperature at 28.0 degrees Celsius. While the maximum temperature of Pantnagar was 41.0 degrees and the minimum temperature was 27.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was 31.2 degrees and the minimum temperature was 17.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of New Tehri was recorded at 29.6 degrees and the minimum temperature at 19.0 degrees Celsius.
