Laredo’s emergency storm shelter, Cigarroa Recreation Center, is closing

The city of Laredo closed the emergency shelter it opened a few hours earlier to help people in need escape the bad weather.

Laredo police announced at 2:12 a.m. Thursday morning that the emergency shelter was closed because there were no visitors at the time.
