Surf with Oceania serving sushi and butter chicken: Travel Weekly Asia

Oceania Cruises has unveiled extensive dining options on board its eight luxury ships, emphasizing a mix of relaxation and sophistication in its culinary offerings.

New dining options include sushi and Indian cuisine at Terrace Café, in addition to a revamped menu at Waves Grill. Terrace Café now houses a daily sushi station with 45 new recipes, including sashimi, uramaki, nigiri and vegetarian options.

Additionally, guests can enjoy 15 authentic Indian dishes such as butter chicken and dhal for dinner at the newly introduced Indian Corner.

“Our staff comes from all over the world and it is a great thing to literally bring their knowledge and experience to the table,” said Chef Alex Quaretti, Culinary Director. “Creating the new Indian dishes for Terrace Café is a perfect example of this; some of these recipes have been passed down from generation to generation.”

Waves Grill, Oceania Cruises’ casual poolside F&B dining option, has expanded its menu to include more than 20 options, including cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches and specialty burgers like the Surf & Turf Wagyu burger and the Philly Cheesesteak hot sandwich.

Looking ahead, Oceania Cruises plans further improvements to its specialty restaurants, including menu updates at Red Ginger and expanded wine pairing options.
