2024 Spring All-Met: Boys Lacrosse First Team, Second Team, Honorable Mention

The following student-athletes have been selected to The Washington Post’s 2024 All-Met team for boys lacrosse:

Anthony Panetti, A, Sr., Landon

Panetti guided Landon to a 15-2 record and its first Interstate Athletic Conference title in seven years. The senior scored three goals and added an assist in a 17-6 dismantling of Georgetown Prep in the IAC championship game and finished the spring with 36 goals and 41 assists in 17 games. The Bucknell commit, named IAC Player of the Year, finished fourth all-time in career points for the Bears.

John Draley, M, Sr., St. John’s

The Maryland commit sparked a lethal offense with 30 goals and 17 assists in just 11 games.

Jack Fish, A, Jr., Severna Park

He was the leading scorer for a team that won its eighth consecutive state title.

John Gardiner, A, Sr., Gonzaga

The Maryland effort helped Gonzaga to a comeback victory in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship game as the Eagles claimed their first title since 2019.

Graham Hartman, FO, Sr., Broadneck

The Mercer commit won 80 percent of his career faceoff chances to help Broadneck to three straight state championship games.

Jackson Maher, A, Jr., Bullis

With 43 goals and 47 assists, Maher recorded one of the best attacking seasons in the region. He is committed to Penn.

Cameron Marks, M, Sr., Woodson

He broke the single-season record for public high school goals in Virginia with 95.

Ciaran McCleary, M, Sr., Georgetown Prep

McCleary will play at Johns Hopkins after leading the Hoyas to another IAC championship game.

Davis Owens, M, Sr., Landon

The long-stick midfielder from Tufts was one of Landon’s best defensive talents and goal scorers.

Trevor Phipps, A, Jr., South River

The Towson commit was named Anne Arundel County’s player of the year after tormenting the Maryland Class 4A defense.

Chase Robertson, M, Sr., Landon

He scored 37 goals, including four in Landon’s win in the IAC championship game.

Will Rubley, A, Sr., Madison

After missing the 2023 season with a torn ACL, Rubley returned for his senior year and became Madison’s all-time leading scorer.

Joseph Weinburgh, F.O., Sr., Hayfield

Weinburgh won 85 percent of his faceoffs while setting Hayfield’s single-season record with 54 goals.

Bob Zichelli, Severna Park

In his first season leading the Falcons, Zichelli picked up where his predecessor left off by helping the school to its eighth straight state championship. He did that with an inexperienced selection; half of the starting lineup in the Maryland Class 3A title game was made up of underclassmen. He previously served as the school’s junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach before returning to the Falcons after a brief hiatus.
