Star-studded romantic comedy comes to Netflix. We may be going through a lot as a country, but entertainment is not one of our problems. New shows are announced almost every week, which means entertainment for us and income for the creative industry.

Award-winning production company Burnt onion, has once again dropped a banger. This time they give us a romantic comedy called Lobola man. The drama follows Ace Ngubeni, a smooth, self-centered love cynic and self-styled Lobola negotiator who offers professional services to grooms and their families in Lobola negotiations.

When an introverted prospect (Duke Maseko) offers Ace a potentially good payout to negotiate an unfeasible deal for his future wife, Ace decides to take the job. When he meets Duke’s fiancée, Ace realizes the job will be bigger than he expected, potentially putting his big payday in jeopardy. As Ace becomes more involved, he begins to question his own beliefs about love and commitment, leading to unexpected personal growth and challenges.

Lobala man The main cast members are Lawrence Maleka, Kwanele Mthethwa, Sandile Mahlangu, Primo Baloyi, Sthandile Nkosi, Obed Baloyi, Themba Ndaba, Letuka Dlamini, Nimrod Nkosi, Sello Ramalahloane and Thembsie Matu.
