Starship Troopers: Extermination Console pre-orders are now live

After more than a year of early access, Starship Troopers: Extermination is getting a full release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S 11 October.

In true Starship Troopers style, the multiplayer co-op shooter pits teams of up to 16 players against waves of murderous aliens. Most of the game involves destroying giant insects, but players must also build fortifications and complete objectives to complete each mission. Players can also customize their characters with unique classes and equipment.

The initial launch of Starship Troopers: Extermination had little content, but the final version will include more planets, weapons and mission types, as well as expanded progression systems. It will also have a single-player mode with actor Casper Van Dien reprising his role as Johnny Rico from the original Starship Trooper film. If similar games like Helldivers 2 aren’t Starship Troopers-y enough for you, there’s a chance that Starship Troopers: Extermination could be the solution.

While Starship Troopers: Extermination is already available on Steam via early access – you can save on Steam keys on GameSpot sister site Fanatical – the final version will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Physical pre-orders are available from multiple online retailers, and if you buy early you’ll get unique bonus items and even a lower price on PC.

All Starship Troopers: Extermination pre-orders will include the Warrior Armor Pack bonus, which includes additional in-game skins for your character.

So far, Starship Troopers: Extermination is only getting a $50 standard edition. It includes the base game plus the Warrior Armor Pack pre-order bonus. You can pre-order physical PS5 and Xbox Series X copies from Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop. Digital pre-orders are also available.

PC players can also purchase the game now on Steam and the Epic Games Store for just $30 and play the early access version before launch. As mentioned, you can get it for even less at Fanatical. Steam keys are available for $26.88. The PC version will increase to $50 starting October 11, so it’s a wise move to grab it early even if you don’t plan on playing during the rest of the early access period. Especially because this way you can save almost 50% on the future price.
