Search warrant at Eagle Springs home leads to drug discovery

A 42-year-old Eagle Springs man is facing drug charges after Moore County Sheriff’s Department detectives searched a home.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields reported that detectives executed a search warrant Wednesday at a home in the 1400 block of Highway 211 in Eagle Springs.

Officers seized suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, suboxone and drug paraphernalia.

Clifton Copeland was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond. He is due to appear in court on July 10 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
