Salmon Arm man makes his way into the mischief attack

A man who took the term ‘tire kicking’ too literally has now been accused of mischief.

Salmon Arm RCMP received a report around 11 a.m. June 11 of a man yelling and kicking at vehicles in a parking lot in the 300 block of the Trans-Canada Highway. A second caller confirmed this, saying they saw the man stomping on the hood of a parked vehicle and took some photos and a short video.

“Police attended and were unable to locate the man after patrolling the area, but were able to identify him from the second caller’s photographs and video,” said Const. Andreas Hodges.

Officers located the man the next day, June 12, and arrested him for mischief, but later released him with a future court hearing to address the charges.

Under the Criminal Code, a mischief charge includes destroying or damaging property, or rendering it useless or unusable.
