The jumps action at Punchestown is limited to riders who have not ridden more than 15 winners under the rules this season and that gives 5lb claimer Kieran Callaghan the chance to ride a winner and he starts on Icare Desbois. He was likely to win at Killarney with a score of 125, but made a big mistake at the last and let go of Paul Townend. If he runs to that form again, he will come very close.

Uncle Phil is one I’m having a hard time getting to grips with, but I feel like he’s a bit high in the weights in this 2m H’cap Chase, even though good ground and a flat track will suit him.

The five year old Gaucher doesn’t need to improve a whole stack to take this 2m Maiden Hurdle after finishing fourth behind Helvic Dream at Navan on debut and just a neck behind Haveigotnewsforyou at Kilbeggan last time.

Kieran Callaghan will have to pack My great partner to establish himself in this 2m 4f Maiden Hurdle as he was very keen here last October with Patrick Mullins in a bumper.

Much of the family wins on debut, but Chart topper finished fifth behind Will The Wise in Naas and will have to improve from that to score here.
