DOTE invites proposals from students for the TN CM research grant for 2024-2025

CHENNAI: The Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) invites proposals from the students for the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Research grant for 2024-2025.

Accordingly, the selected projects will be converted into a patent, a product or an industrial application or result in a higher socio-economic impact.

A DOTE notice on Thursday stated that projects with problem-oriented solutions and short duration will be given preference for the program.

Accordingly, the aim of the proposal should be to achieve a number of specific results, which could be possible with a duration of up to 36 months.

The broad category of eligible fields are aerospace engineering, biological sciences and biotechnology, chemical engineering, chemical sciences, civil engineering, computer sciences, earth, atmospheric, ocean sciences, electrical, electronic and communications engineering, environment, ecology and disaster management, food. and agricultural information technology, instrumentation engineering, materials science and nanotechnology, mathematical sciences, medical sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, textile engineering, veterinary medicine and fisheries sciences.

The research grant is open to all government higher education institutions and state universities under the Higher Education Department in Tamil Nadu.

There will be a ceiling of Rs.20 lakh for student-led projects and Rs.40 lakh for faculty-led projects.
