Welcome to Ontario’s hottest days of the year. Will they live up to history?

Welcome to Ontario’s hottest days of the year. Will they live up to history?

Warmest average temperatures in Ontario

People in the nation’s capital may still sit on the hilltop for a while. Ottawa’s warmest average temperature of the year will last for about a week and a half, between July 16 and 27.

Southwestern Ontario enjoys the warmest weather for the longest period of time. Windsor’s highest average high of the year, a pleasant 28.1°C, lingers for most of the last two weeks of July.

What we can expect in the coming days and weeks

After all, average temperatures are a thing of the past and it is rare that a day (or even a period of days) has exactly the right temperature for that time of year.

So, even though we’re in the midst of the hottest days of summer, what can you really expect in Southern Ontario through the last days of July?

Temperature Trend in Toronto

Consistent conditions and a relative lack of extreme heat will characterize the second half of July in the region. Toronto residents can expect temperatures within a degree or two of the season over the next week or two, with a slight warm-up over the following weekend.

Although temperatures remain pleasant, the humid air will make it feel a lot warmer on most days, with humidity levels easily rising above 30 degrees Celsius during the afternoon.
