‘I’m ready!’ Aggies DL Shemar Turner shares thoughts on the Texas A&M-Texas rivalry

DALLAS β€” The Texas A&M Aggies will rekindle their rivalry with the Texas Longhorns for the first time in more than a decade this November, in what will be one of the most anticipated games of the entire 2024 college football season.

Fortunately, fans everywhere can look forward to a surprise, as both sides will be motivated with both their SEC status and bragging rights on the line.

And while most of the players entering the game barely remember previous games, Aggies defenseman Shemar Turner is ready to see what the Lone Star Showdown entails.

“You definitely hear it the most from the fans. It’s exciting,” Turner said. “I’m ready to go out there and play a team like UT, so it’s going to be pretty fun. We’re committed and focused on getting better every day and working toward that point. It’s going to be exciting. I’m not going to lie, Aggieland is going to change. It’s always electric out there, but I feel like that game is just going to be different.

β€œIt will be great to experience that environment before I graduate from college. It will be fun.”

The Aggies and Horns won’t kick off until November 30, when the entire college football world will have its eyes on Kyle Field for the game.

That said, the Aggies must first deal with the opponents in front of them. The top 10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish team will likely come to College Station in Week 1.
