The federal government has called on the non-profit organization Saylani Welfare International Trust (SWIT) to become a partner in the Prime Minister’s youth program.

The offer was made by the chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan, who visited the foundation’s headquarters here.

Khan acknowledged that the Saylani Trust was already working towards implementing the aspirations of the current government to improve the future of the country’s youth. He said that the government would work in collaboration with the Saylani Trust to empower the Pakistani youth.

He told the SWIT leadership that it was the ultimate determination of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Federal Government to provide quality education and vocational training to the youth. He acknowledged that the Saylani Trust had already launched such academic and training initiatives.

Khan said that the services of SWIT would be made available for the promotion of information technology education in Punjab. He told the SWIT officials that Saylani Trust would be part of the Arfa Karim IT project in Punjab.

The library adjacent to the Data Ganj Bakhsh shrine in Lahore, which has already been handed over to the Saylani Trust, will also be used to launch an IT training initiative in collaboration with the PM’s Youth Programme. The federal government and Saylani Trust will soon sign a memorandum of understanding in this regard.

Khan said he was happy to meet students who had enrolled in various training programmes of SWIT, which provided them with good education, vocational training and superior moral standards. He said the graduates of SWIT training initiatives would prove to be good ambassadors of Pakistan when they go abroad for higher education or jobs.

Khan informed the SWIT officials that Pakistani youths are facing problems in obtaining visas to visit developed countries due to the embarrassing behavior of certain foreign youths, who did not represent Pakistan properly in other countries.

He believed that Pakistan’s progress was guaranteed until sincere and dedicated non-profit organizations like Saylani Trust were active in the country and committed to empowering the Pakistani youth.

Khan said he was happy to witness the services of SWIT in multiple sectors of life simultaneously. He said SWIT had become a successful non-profit organisation as it had practically implemented its programmes. Earlier on his arrival, Khan was warmly welcomed by SWIT founder Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri and Saylani Trust education board chief Afzal Chamdia. SWIT CEO Madni Bashir Farooq, Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Ghazzal, Amjad Chamdia and PML-N leader Nihal Hashmi were also present.
