AeroShield Materials Unveils New Manufacturing Facility, Secures $5 Million in Financing

AeroShield Materials, an MIT spinout specializing in energy-efficient technology, has announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Waltham, Massachusetts. In addition to this milestone, the company has secured an additional $5 million in funding from investors including the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, MassVentures, and MassMutual Ventures. This new facility will enable AeroShield to scale production of its innovative transparent aerogel sheeting, which significantly improves the energy efficiency of windows and doors.

These sheets are among the most insulating materials ever created and can improve energy performance by up to 65%.
