Netflix is controversially hosting Mike Tyson’s boxing comeback against YouTuber-turned-prizefighter Jake Paul.

Talks with Paul lasted more than a year and a deal was struck when heavyweight icon Tyson agreed to come out of retirement to fight.

But SunSport understands this won’t be Netflix’s only major role in sports streaming.

The filmmakers announced a stunning film $5 BILLION (£3.8bn) deal with the WWE broadcasts in the US and worldwide.

From January, WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night Raw, will be available on Netflix.

And by then, Netflix will have ALL WWE programming exclusively on their site in the UK, replacing TNT Sports as the broadcaster.

The WWE joined forces with the UFC this year as part of a $21 billion (£16.2 billion) merger with the TKO group.

It comes as the UFC’s five-year, $1.5 billion TV contract with ESPN expires at the end of 2025.

Paul also hasn’t ruled out working with Netflix again, having boxed on DAZN, Triller, Showtime and ESPN in the past.

He was in negotiations with Netflix for several fights, including a rematch against 25-year-old Tommy Fury, to whom he lost in 2023.

Paul, 27, previously appeared in Netflix’s Untold documentary series and will share a huge $80 million (£60 million) purse with Tyson, 58.

Iron Mike returns for his first professional fight since 2005.

It will be officially sanctioned, but for eight two-minute rounds (as opposed to the usual three) the fighting was in larger 14oz gloves instead of 10oz.
