Aston Villa news: Ezri Konsa returns early from England duty

Defender Ezri Konsa has returned to Aston Villa from England, with Three Lions interim manager Lee Carsley saying: “We won’t take any risks with any player”.

Konsa was substituted at half-time during England’s 3-0 win in Greece on Thursday.

Carsley added: “He has been assessed by the medical team and the scan results are back. He will return to Villa.”
