Fans spot an awkward Sky Sports blunder as Luke Littler takes center stage after stunning Grand Slam of Darts victory

EAGLE-EYED fans spotted a bizarre Sky Sports blunder during the Grand Slam of Darts final.

Luke Littler defeated Martin Lukeman 16-3 in last night’s final to claim his tenth title of the year.

But ahead of the highly anticipated match, fans noticed a mistake about the 17-year-old.

A photo of Littler appeared on the screen as part of an image, strangely titled “bug height”.

The blunder was spotted by former Soccer AM presenter Helen Chamberlain, who shared it on social media with the caption: “Um… What?”

Another viewer joked: “He’s not that little after all.”

The words “bug height” are likely placeholder text that was accidentally left untouched by the production team.

And it wasn’t the only error spotted yesterday as the Sky Sports scoreboard briefly stopped working in Littler’s dramatic semi-final victory over Gary Anderson.

The usual image was replaced with the PDC’s own version for a few visits until the problem was immediately resolved.

Littler’s stunning win in the final saw his career earnings rise to £1 million.

Runner-up Lukeman revealed what fueled the prodigy’s sensational performance, saying: “He’s got a Boost, a meal deal, a curry and walks over there and beats the shit out of me.

‘But he just had a curry, a boost and some of those little half pink and half white sweets – Squashies – for his rest.

“This kid is a joke. But I take my hat off to him, he’s absolutely amazing.”

Winning the Grand Slam boded well for the World Championship as the last two Ally Pally winners, Michael Smith and Luke Humphries, also won in Wolverhampton a month earlier.
