Indian equity benchmarks recovered on Friday after a sharp decline in the previous session, led by gains in pharmaceutical, healthcare, auto and energy stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 759 points or 0.96% to 79,803 and the broader NSE Nifty rose 217 points or 0.91% to 24,131. Stocks like Adani Total Gas, FACT, Bharat Dynamics, Cochin Shipyard and Vodafone Idea were among the top gainers on Nifty 200 this week.
